Interested in becoming an OECD Champion Mayor or know a local leader who has make Inclusive Growth a central part of his or her policy agenda? The OECD Champion Mayors for Inclusive Growth initiative aims to elevate the voice of mayors as global leaders in the fight against inequality.
The OECD is interested in mayors who have made strong efforts to tackle inequalities and advocate for an inclusive growth agenda. By joining this global coalition, mayors have the opportunity to exchange directly with local leaders worldwide to share strategies for more inclusive cities, access an interactive web platform of good policies and practices, and ensure that local perspectives help shape national strategies and international agendas. If you feel that you or your local leader fits this profile, you can contact us for more information.
The Champion Mayors initiative is pleased to count on a range of supporting institutions to help shape this work, including the Ford Foundation, Brookings Institution, Cities Alliance, ICLEI Local Governments for Sustainability, Lincoln Institute of Land Policy, C40 Cities, Bloomberg Philanthropies, National League of Cities, United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG) and United Way Worldwide.
