Resiliency
The COVID-19 crisis highlighted the role of resiliency in city planning. Cities are on the frontline of responses to the crisis, playing a key role implementing nation-wide measures, but also provide laboratories for bottom-up and innovative recovery strategies. The pandemic accelerated the shift towards a new urban paradigm towards inclusive, green and smart cities. The OECD works with governments at all levels to develop public policies to enhance and strengthen the resilience of cities.
